Formula / Calculation Method
GPA = sum(credits × grade points) / sum(credits).
Example Calculation
A 3-credit course at 4 points and a 1-credit course at 2 points give 3.5 GPA.

Interpreting the Calculation
GPA is a credit-weighted mean of the entered points. Use your institution’s conversion from letter grades to numeric points; an A is not universally worth the same number of points.
